Meet the Cast...

Teri Adams : Lin

Teri is delighted to be making her Cabaret Oldtown debut and to reunite with her old/new best friend, Christi. Glad to have our friendship back on "this side of the tracks"! Teri is especially proud to return to her stage career after taking two years off to battle breast cancer. She has been one of the most popular performers in her native Kansas City for almost 20 years. Her favorite shows include Steel Magnolias, Ruthless, My Way-A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, I Love You Because, and Cactus Flower (understudy to Loretta Swit). Teri has traveled the country playing Iowa Housewife in Menopause the Musical, toured the East Coast in a Christmas Carol and is a two-time cabaret soloist at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Teri would like to send a special thanks to her fantastic husband and family. She is forever grateful and dedicates this show to the angels on her shoulders…for Theo and Kathryn.

Dennis Arnold : Norbert Garstecki

Dennis is back in Wichita after having last been seen in last year’s production of Love Sex and the IRS at the Crown Uptown. A veteran of many shows; past performances include South Pacific, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Kiss me Kate, and Shenandoah. He has performed in touring companies and regional, and dinner theatres around the Midwest. His screen credits include two movies and numerous commercials. This is his first show at Cabaret Oldtown and he's excited and grateful for the chance to work with such a talented, energetic cast in such a fun show!

Cianna Atchison-Guillen : Jeannie Garstecki

Cianna is ecstatic to be back here at Cabaret Oldtown performing with friends - old and new. Earlier this summer, she made her MTW debut as Electra in Gypsy. Her favorite shows include Suburban Cowboy at Mosley Street Melodrama, Little Shop of Horrors here at Cabaret, Last of the Red Hot Lovers at The May Fair Theatre in London, UK, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Wichita Shakespeare Co. Cianna can be seen crooning around town with the Fly By Night Band or with her new collaborator, Tez. She thanks God for her many blessings. Thanks to Christi for the friendship and the opportunity to play such a fun role. Love to her parents in Heaven, her sisters, brothers and her furry family. Her performance is dedicated to the memory of her Mom, Louise.

Kaye Brownlee : Pickles

Kaye is pumped to be in a show here at Cabaret Oldtown (thanks, Christi!). She graduated in May from WSU with a degree in technical theatre - emphasis in costume design. Her designs include Urinetown, the Father, and Fat Pig at WSU, and High School Musical, and Love, Sex and the IRS, at Crown Uptown. You may recognize her from per-formances as Ellen in The Night Thoreau spent in Jail, Felicity in the Shadow Box, both at WSU or as your server from the past four years here at Cabaret Oldtown. She is the resident costume designer at Wichita Children’s Theatre and will be a member of their touring company this fall. Kaye loves giraffes, vitamin water, and Zac Efron. Much love to Mom, Dad, Dan, and her girls-Jesi, Faye, Stacey, Jenny, and Kevin.

Angela Geer : Betty

A couple of years ago, Christi told Angela about this show, that she was pursuing the rights and that she wanted her to play Betty. Since that day, Angela has been eagerly anticipating the time when it would finally happen. Having grown up in very similar surroundings as Starke, Florida, relating to this play and cast of characters was very easy! The Great American Trailer Park Musical is Angela's first 2010 Cabaret production and she's thrilled to be a part of it. She's become a bit of a regular throughout the years appearing in several Christmas productions as well as all the Jukebox series, Jukebox - Hits of the 60's and 70's and One Hit Wonders. She thanks Christi for her continued friendship and support. She is thrilled to join this amazing cast which includes both old friends and new faces you're sure to enjoy as well as the most incredi-ble live band in Wichita! Though performing is one of Angela's passions, her absolute favorite passions are her goddaughters Leah and Gracie, and her 5 other little people; Samantha, Tori, Madison, Wyatt, and Kennedy - Auntie loves you so very much! As always, Angela's heart and inspiration comes from her mother who she knows is watching.

Christi Moore : Pippi

"Is anyone as nervous as me about what’s to come up?" Christi is back on the Cabaret stage after a 7 month break of "just running the place!" She is happy to be with this cast and band of great friends, especially her old college pal, Teri. Christi’s favorite roles are many and she has performed around town at Cabaret, Music Theatre of Wichita, Crown Uptown, Stage One, and Mosley Street Melodrama as well as Off-Broadway, regionally, and as part of a National Broadway Tour. In her spare time, she enjoys talking house design with Mark, Insanity with B & K, everything Pittsburgh Steelers (a passion she shares with her 16 year old son, Michael), and FOOD…either at home or out with family and friends. Special thanks to Kyle, Monte, and Fawnia.

Nick Probst : Duke

Nick has been a migrant worker behind the bar here at Cabaret Oldtown for a sackful of months, but has now set his sights on conquer-ing the stage. He does so in his Cabaret debut as Duke in the Great American Trailer Park Musical. Mr. Probst received inspiration for Duke by watching COPS in which appearances by his relatives were most common. When not leasing apartments at The Grove or on stage dazzling theatre-goers, Senor Probst can be found taking classes at WSU or crying. Much love to Christi "Abigail" Moore for the opportunity to be in this delightful show and much appreciation to John "Pepaw" Probst for your tolerance and for being a great daddy (you’ll get your money next week!)

Meet the Cabaret Oldtown Band...

(Cabaret Oldtown is proud to be Wichita's only year-round theatre featuring a live band)

Rich Bruhn - Keybobards

Rich has enjoyed the ride here at Cabaret Oldtown as the Musical Director for the past 5 years. He stays busy playing, as well as teaching, and recently became a member of the accompanist group at Wichita State University. He would like to express his gratitude to his band mates, Ron, John, and Steve for making his job a lot easier. All his love to Paula, Miss, Brad, Neil, and Erin.

Ron Smith - Guitar

Despite having a creative writing degree, Ron dislikes writing about himself, especially in third-person prose. However, he loves his boss (and drinking partner) Christi Moore, and will do anything she asks. Ron also plays saxophone and bass and has appeared on hundreds of recordings. He’s played with scads of rock, swing, country, blues, and even new wave bands; however he feels lucky to join forces with his friends and comrades in the Cabaret Oldtown Band. Ron’s interests include cats, cooking, women and reading - especially women who read about cats. He collects maps, knowledge, and manual ice crushers. He is currently looking for a building where he can live and record music. If you know of such a place, see him after the show. Ron wants to thank his parents and children for their love and support.

John Probst - Bass

John has been playing bass professionally around Wichita and beyond for 25 years. You may remember him from the bands The Bombers and Groove Attack. He says "Cabaret Oldtown Theatre has saved my bacon!" He would like to thank Christi and everybody at Cabaret for their understanding during his struggle with what his doctors are calling "clinical shyness".

Steve Hatfield - Drums

Steve is deliriously happy to be here at Cabaret Oldtown, his home away from home. Steve insists he has a life, he just refuses to live it. When not providing musical and emotional support for area thespians, Steve performs with Music Theatre of Wichita, and teaches drums and percussion at Butler Community College. He has been a member of the teaching staff at Jim Starkey Music Center since 1985. Steve’s hobbies include sitting still, not moving, and reclining. His favorite color is plaid. Steve would like to thank Christi, the band, and his buddies here for making Cabaret Oldtown the coolest gig in town!  www.stevehatfield.com
